Tom Patterson – Scott Beaudin
Director, Adaptation – Julia Rank
Sound Effects – Brent Sylvester
This original Reading of “Love, Tom” has now developed into a full performance production. Based on some of Tom Patterson’s experiences while he was stationed in England during World War II, we see a different, and younger, Tom from the one who later founded the Stratford Festival.
See how the man who launched our Shakespearean Festival Theatre was motivated by all that he endured to inspire a distinguished legacy of the arts in Stratford.
This performance will take place in the indoor performance space at the Museum. We hope you will join us and be part of this full-production performance! See you there!

Director
Julia Rank is a graduate of The National Ballet School, and holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours Dance) degree, and a Master of Education. She moved to Stratford seven years ago after teaching English, drama and dance, and also choreographing, and directing for several theatre companies, in Newfoundland for thirty-three years. She became fascinated by this young, pre-Festival, Tom Patterson through reading books by, and about, him.
