Nights at the Museum: Menopause Edition health seminar series is a collaborative project between The Stratford Menopause Clinic and The Stratford Perth Museum. These seminars are intended to be a safe space to:

    - Learn and ask about menopause from trained providers
    - Discover the history of midlife women's healthcare through a museum exhibit
    - Enjoy a social education experience in a relaxed, safe environment

    Seminar 1 - What is happening to me?! A Primer on Menopause 
    Date & Time: Tuesday, March 19, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    Regular Tickets: $30.00 per person
    Location: Stratford Perth Museum Indoor Cooperators Theatre

    Stop at the Museum's History of Menopause Exhibit to learn about how our health has been managed over history. Learn about the language and definitions in menopause, symptoms, what the research and lived experience say about it, followed by an hour of unstructured conversation and Q&As in the friendly space of the Stratford Perth Museum.

    Seminar 2 - Menopause Smackdown: More than just medications
    Date & Time: Tuesday, April 16, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    Regular Tickets: $30.00 per person
    Location: Stratford Perth Museum Indoor Cooperators Theatre

    Stop at the Museum's Lydia Pinkham Vegetable Menopause Compound Selfie Exhibit to see how the present mimics our history! A review of all of the options available to help women prepare for menopause, navigate the transition, and thrive beyond it. Hormonal, non-hormonal, all natural, and lifestyle options will be discussed. Followed by an hour of unstructured conversation and Q&As in the friendly space of the Stratford Perth Museum.

    Seminar 3 - Below the Belt: Genitourinary symptoms in Menopause
    Date & Time: Tuesday, May 14, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    Regular Tickets: $30.00 per person
    Location: Stratford Perth Museum Indoor Cooperators Theatre

    Stop in at the Museum's Historic Pelvic Exam Table - stirrups and all. Learn about the vaginal, urinary, and sexual health and challenges during the menopausal transition and beyond. This is not just a medical lecture; learn about how these issues extend beyond medical treatment, into cultural, social, and moral realms that help us better understand where we are at in women's health care and how we can support each other. Followed by an hour of unstructured conversation and Q&As in the friendly space of the Stratford Perth Museum.

    Seminar 4 - Winding Up: The Pillars of Healthy Aging
    Date & Time: Tuesday, June 18, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
    Regular Tickets: $30.00 per person
    Location: Stratford Perth Museum Indoor Cooperators Theatre

    Learn about what we know about midlife women's health and aging. Again, this topic only starts with medical management but bleeds into the traditions of our social norms and taboos, and ends with discussion how we move forward in healthy and supporting ways to ourselves and each other. Followed by an hour of unstructured conversation, Q&As and hangout to celebrate the completion of the series in the friendly space of the Stratford Perth Museum.

    The Stratford Menopause Clinic is an OHIP-covered Collaborative Care Centre dedicated to the education, counselling, treatment, and monitoring of women experiencing the menopausal transition and beyond.
