Busy Hands Workshop Series
Lavender Basket

Join in an afternoon of relaxing weaving using natural materials with the welcoming aroma of lavender. The workshop will use local lavender stocks to create a small basket suitable for holding potpourri or other types of dried flowers. This handmade item is a great gift for family, friends or Mother's Day. All materials for this project are provided to each participant and will include lavender, thread and necessary tools.

Workshop Leader Barb Hagarty
Barb Hagarty began to actively engage with the history of creating fiber through the practice of tatting. From here she transitioned to working with other historical forms of fiber creation such nalbinding, drop spindle spinning and sprang. Her goal is to share knowledge of ancient techniques of fiber creation and create contemporary interest in these ancient practices.
