Busy Hands Workshop Series
Knotting
Stratford Perth Museum - Line 34, Stratford, ON N5A 6S6, Canada
Join in an evening of relaxing crafting with a traditional textile pastime called Knotting. Using 17th century techniques, workshop guests will create a winter decoration that reflects the practices of the gentry in England. Women in the 1600-1800s were known to perform this craft in the presence of gentlemen suiters as a means to flaunt the beauty of their hands and therefore flirt with present company! This handmade item is a great gift for family or friends over the holiday season. All materials for this project are provided to each participant.
