Velvet & Ivory: A 1920s-Inspired Musical Evening

Step back in time and experience the glamour, music, and charm of the 1920s and 1930s at Velvet & Ivory, a special musical evening celebrating the artistry of the Museum’s historic Sherlock Manning Player Piano, generously donated by the Selves Family. 

This one-night event features live performances by Tim & Beverley, with guests, blending timeless vocals with the rich tones of this extraordinary instrument — at the heart of countless homes for decades, keeping music alive when a live performer wasn’t available. Guests will also be introduced to the recently donated Selves Family Player Piano, now a cherished addition to the Museum’s collection.

The evening is more than a concert; it’s a community celebration and fundraiser, showcasing music, storytelling, and history.

This is a licensed event with drinks, a signature cocktail and snacks. Plus! An invitation to dress up in your favourite Flapper style!
