Bob Wiseman: Looking for Richard Manuel

Acclaimed Canadian improvisational keyboardist Bob Wiseman returns to the Stratford Perth Museum for an intimate, one-night tribute to Richard Manuel—Stratford’s own legendary voice and keyboardist of The Band. For fans of The Band, this is a rare chance to gather in Manuel’s hometown and celebrate the music, the mystery, and the lasting influence he left behind.

Known for his work with Blue Rodeo and a wide-ranging career as a songwriter, composer, and performer, Wiseman approaches Manuel not as a historian, but as a fellow musician, listening closely, asking questions, and following the thread of what made Manuel’s artistry so powerful.

The evening moves through songs, stories, reflections, and improvisations; part concert, part conversation, and part live exploration. Expect insight, humour, and a few surprises along the way.
