In this sharp, funny, and heartfelt one-woman show, next-door neighbours Mary and Bill couldn’t be more different. She’s a regenerative farmer with dirt under her nails; he’s a hedge fund manager who’d rather be on the golf course than talking about climate and the future of the land.

What begins as neighbourly friction grows into a lively and surprisingly moving clash of worldviews. Will they find common ground, or remain stuck on opposite sides of the fence?

About Dale Colleen Hamilton

Dale comes from a five-generation farm family and homesteads on 16 acres near Guelph, Ontario. After a 45-year break from university, she returned to earn her Master’s in Environmental Studies at York University, focusing on regenerative farming and soil health.

For more than 40 years, Dale has been creating community-engaged theatre that sparks conversation, inspires change, and connects people to the places they call home. Most recently, she has toured The Gardener & The Golfer across Canada with support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Soil Champions Committee.
