The Almost Hip

Our favourite Tragically Hip Cover Band returns to the Players Backstage! Kick the end of the summer off in classic Canadian fashion with THE ALMOST HIP at the Stratford Perth Museum Player's Backstage, Friday July 17th, 7pm,

Rain date: Friday, July 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM. We will make a weather call by 5:00 PM on the day of the event and notify ticket holders by email.

Born in the fall of 1990 The Almost Hip has continued to this day making them the longest-running Tragically Hip tribute band in the world.

The Almost Hip takes great pride in their honest approach to their performances. By studying and concentrating on The Hip's live performances, they deliver the songs with integrity, intensity, and that familiar Hip sound that made The Tragically Hip Canada's Band!

This event is General Admission, festival-style seating. The museum has outdoor seating available, but guests are also welcome to bring their own lawn chairs for extra comfort.

Tickets are non-refundable unless we have to cancel both dates due to weather concerns.

This is an outdoor licensed event with snacks and drinks. 

This is a fundraiser for your museum!

For those of you with allergies, service animals are permitted on site. 

Planning Your Visit

Concerts take place outdoors at Player's Backstage at the Stratford Perth Museum and are licensed events.

Feel free to bring your own lawn chair — though the Museum has plenty of seating available if needed (ours may not be quite as comfy as yours!).

In the event of poor weather, ticket holders will be notified by email no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the concert if a rain date is required. We will also announce on our socials

Please note that service animals are welcome at all Museum events. Guests with pet allergies should be aware that service animals may be present.

Evening concerts can still be quite sunny, so we recommend bringing sunscreen, bug spray, and anything else you need to be comfortable outdoors.

Our licensed bar offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including mocktails, zero-alcohol beer, and wine — we've got you covered.

Food truck details will be announced prior to each concert.

Walk-ups welcome on the night!
